Some Botanical Friends by Ed McCartan

Fishing for Subject Matter:    You are ready to paint, brushes in hand, standing in front of your canvas……….but the creative muse will not make the scene.  Try as you might, no ideas will come to you.  I think we all often have this experience.  My subject  is how we can “jump start” the creative juices to get going on a painting.  Altering our work, changing subject matter, reworking old material….these are some of the the things we can ponder together.  We can learn from each other, and overcome our inertia, so that we can get going and create that great work we know is just waiting to come from us.
