I am a frame maker, gilder, and gilded object conservator. And an artist. My work is about light, both captured and reflected. The lines between my craft and art work are often blurred;  I create icon panels using the same gilding and carving techniques I use as a frame maker. I often meld the gilding craft with the analog and pinhole photography I create, sometimes printing images directly onto gilded panels to create transparent and reflective imagery.
